This page explains what cookies and similar technologies run on the Blue Electrics website and why. It's a companion to our Privacy Policy.

The short version

We don't use advertising cookies, social-media trackers, or third-party analytics on this site. You don't need to give consent because we're not doing anything that requires it. If that changes in the future, we'll add a cookie banner before any non-essential cookie is set.

What's actually running on blueelectrics.co.uk

1. Cloudflare Pages (hosting)

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may set the following cookies to protect against attacks and ensure the service works:

  • __cf_bm — bot-management cookie, set by Cloudflare, expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Strictly necessary for security.
  • cf_clearance — set only if you've completed a security challenge. Expires after 30 days.

These are considered strictly necessary under ICO guidance and do not require consent.

2. Cloudflare Turnstile (contact form)

Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile in place of a traditional CAPTCHA. Turnstile is designed to be cookieless. It may run a lightweight challenge in your browser to confirm you're a real person, but it does not identify you or track you across sites.

3. YouTube embeds (privacy-enhanced mode)

We embed videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). No cookies are set unless you press play on a video. If you do, YouTube (Google LLC) may set its standard playback and personalisation cookies. You can manage those through your Google account settings or by not interacting with the embedded videos.

4. Local storage

Your browser may cache our pages, CSS, JavaScript, and images to speed up return visits. This happens entirely in your browser and is not shared with us. You can clear it from your browser settings at any time.

What we don't use

  • ❌ Google Analytics, Tag Manager, or any other analytics that profile individuals.
  • ❌ Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any advertising-retargeting pixels.
  • ❌ Session-recording tools such as Hotjar or Clarity.
  • ❌ Third-party chat widgets.

If we add any of these in the future, we will update this page and, where consent is required, show a cookie banner before anything is set.

How to block cookies

All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Doing so may prevent some parts of the site (such as the contact form) from working correctly if Cloudflare's security cookie is blocked.
